Recently I’ve been discovering just how much God cares about the well being and future of my son. Maybe I just never noticed this before, but the Bible is full of promises for children and parents. I’m loving the fact that all throughout his word, God is giving me little encouragements, advice and wisdom about how I am to treat and raise my children. It’s a big job, but thankfully God hasn’t left me without any tools to do it.
I’ve been trying to soak up some good, uninterrupted reading time in the mornings lately because I know that pretty soon I may have to work a little harder to find any quiet time where I can just reflect…and not just want to take a nap instead.
One great idea Jon shared with me is that we should print out some verses and either laminate them or insert them into those plastic binder inserts so we can hang them in the shower. I totally plan to do this soon!
Anyway, the verse I came across this morning that I’m going to try and commit to memory today is Isaiah 54:13:
“All your sons will be taught by the Lord,
and great will be your children’s peace.”
